Charles Fong, Director, BDC Venture Capital Charles Fong has been in venture capital since 1998 participating in private and public transactions and serving on the Board of Directors of multiple companies. Previously he had 10 years of operational experience including general management and P&L responsibilities in start-up biotechnology companies, a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company and in bio-informatics where he raised financing for two biotechnology companies and participated in agreements with several pharmaceutical companies. He is a cellular electrophysiologist by training with post-doctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley and the Marine Biology Laboratory at Woods Hole, Massachusetts. He earned his Ph.D at the University of Ottawa and has a BSc Honours, first class from the University of British Columbia.
