Shawn Maddaford, PhD, Vice President of Discovery Chemistry

Co-discoverer of a first-in-class clinical candidate for schizophrenia subsequently licensed to Janssen Pharmaceutica, while at Allelix Biopharmaceuticals Department of Discovery Chemistry.  Founding member of MCR Research Inc.  Distinguished record of publications and patents in rational drug design and synthesis.  Recipient of a number of fellowships and awards during his post-doctoral years at the University of Calgary and the International School of Crystallography in Erice, Italy. During this time, he worked in the area of natural product synthesis and molecular modeling.  PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Manitoba: received the Duff Robin Graduate Award for excellent study.
