Samuel P. Wertheimer, PhD, Principal, OrbiMed Advisors, LLC

Dr Wertheimer joined OrbiMed Advisors LLC in 2000 as a senior analyst covering private equity and small capitalization biotechnology companies.  Dr Wertheimer was previously Director, Office of Industrial Liaison at the New York University School of Medicine. From 1996 to 1998, Dr Wertheimer was a Director of Technology Assessment at Paramount Capital Investments, LLC, an investment group specializing in the biotechnology industry.   Dr Wertheimer received a PhD in Molecular Biology from New York University, an M.P.H. from Yale University and a BA from The Johns Hopkins University.
